Mari aka Mariposa is a licensed cosmetologist, professional makeup artist, and hair stylist based in McKinney Texas. After attending cosmetology school and receiving her license in 2006, she continue to acquire education on current makeup trends, techniques, and the latest product knowledge working as a freelance makeup artist.
Mariposa describes makeup artistry as “living blank canvas, every client (canvas) is different, whether it be in texture, shape or color. Every client has a different vision and story. Each must be prepped, and painted to create a customized and flawless application. In makeup artistry, no canvas is the same, that is what makes it so beautiful and exciting”.
A makeup artist with more than 12 years of experience in the areas of fashion photo shoots, weddings, makeovers, quinceaneras, and the everyday client. Mari has learned from her clients one universal rule: women want to look fresh, flawless, and beautiful. It’s this principle that drives Mari to deliver an individualized look that is feminine and natural, yet modern and trendy.
In 2015 Mari became the proud owner of her own business, a small in-home studio to accommodate her growing clientele. Having her own business allows Mari to have the freedom to fit in with her clients giving them the comfort and reliability they deserve.
Mari is also making a name for herself in the wedding makeup industry, creating beautifully timeless romantic looks for her brides and party bridal while utilizing her skills with traditional makeup and hairstyles.
Today, Mari continues to work passionately, creating beautiful and trendy makeup looks on all the different “living blank canvases” (clients) everywhere and helping them feel confident and look their best!!
